Gianluca Mattia was born in Bari, Italy in 1975. He graduated from the Institute of Art with advanced qualifications in both architectural design and interior decoration. Following his collegiate stint he specialized through different professional courses such as digital painting and multi-dimensional graphic design. In 2003 Gianluca started to redevelop the pin up genre in a more modern style. This became an ongoing project motivated by the enthusiasm for his Modern Pin Up. In 2006 Gianluca was commissioned to create the calendar for Suicide Girls of Los Angeles. Now his talents are utilized in the fashion world working for the Italian design agency Go-Go Dolls and Guys.
