Aaron Kraten grew up in Huntington Beach, California and always enjoyed drawing. He would carry around small 100 page sketchbooks, which he'd always be drawing in. In 1999 Aaron was working at a thrift store called Stateside where he started experimenting with painting on found objects. Aaron started displaying work at Stateside and sold a great deal of his art displayed on their walls.

Soon after, Aaron began submitting his work to galleries and museums in Southern California. Aaron Kraten has shown in museums such as the Laguna Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles. Other galleries displaying Aaron’s work include Gallery 23, Gallery C, Seven Degrees and Subject Matter. Aaron shows about 4 times a year and posts new work on his website often. He has completed over 58 - 100 page sketchbooks and more than 150 paintings. Aaron currently works in the video game industry and paints full time.
