1. Will the grey area around my design in the layout be printed on my skin?

YES! We don't cut our around your design, the skin is cut around the pink cut lines around the edge of the template. If you see grey still in your image please note that it WILL appear on your skin.

2. Where's my custom wallpaper?

It's in the (e)mail! :) There's a link in the email confirmation you received upon purchase. Follow that link to glory - or if not glory, at least your custom wallpaper!

3. What are the proper file specs for uploading your own images?

Nothing's set in stone, but if you want the best results you should try and use an image that is 300 dpi and at least 1600 pixels wide for iPods and around 4000 pixels wide for laptops. You can generally find out the pixel dimensions by right clicking on the image and "Get Info" or "Properties" should tell you. Again, nothing's concrete, it's whatever you think looks good.

One tip: If it looks blurry on screen, it will DEFINITELY look blurry printed out.

1. What are GelaSkins?

GelaSkins are thin, laminated vinyl decals designed as scratch protection from everyday wear and tear. The 3M adhesive is repositionable, and won’t leave any residue when you choose to remove it. GelaSkins are not cases, they are skins.

2. Can I reuse my GelaSkins?

Although 3M has created this adhesive to be re-positionable and removable, it is not designed to be re-used. We have had many customers tell us they’ve reused their GelaSkins with great success! If you want to try, we recommend you store the GelaSkin on the protective backing it came on, and pressed flat (such as under a book)

1. How long will it take for my GelaSkin(s) to get to me?

We do our best to process all orders within two business days. If you place an order on a weekend or holiday, chances are we won't get started on producing your order until the following business day... but you you never know, sometimes the production team gets inspired! Our estimated shipping times start the day we actually wrap up the order and put it in the post. Which, as written above, is usually within 1-2 days. If you select Standard Post, please allow up to 15 business days for your order to arrive. Most do arrive well before then, but be patient! For faster service, upgrade to UPS and you have it within 4-6 days. Plus it's trackable. If you're really hungry, go for UPS Express and you'll have it within two days of us shipping it.

2. Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses? What about my PO Box?

UPS does not deliver to APO/FPO or PO Box addresses. Only "Standard Post" orders can be delivered to these addresses, this is limited to iPod, BlackBerry, Razr, and iPhone skins only. Sorry, no laptops or gaming skins.

3. Can you mark this as a gift for Customs for me?

No, sorry.

4. Do GelaSkins ship to MY country?

5. How much will it cost to get my skin(s) shipped to me?

Shipping costs depend on what's in your cart, and where it's being shipped to.

1. I live in the area, can I come to your Toronto location to purchase or exchange?

Sorry, we're not set up for visitors just yet I'm afraid. All transactions (purchases, exchanges, returns) must be placed online. However, we have a kiosk on the first floor of the Eaton Centre and you can check us out there.

2. Can I return a custom skin for a refund?

Sorry, there are no refunds on Custom skins, but we will issue a store credit however!

3. What is your return/exchange policy?

You may return your unused, unopened GelaSkin for exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase to the address below. Exchanges may only be made for products of same value. When exchanging a skin, please include in the package a note detailing which skins you'd like to receive in return.

Becoming a GelaSkins Artist

1. How do I become a GelaSkins artist?

We're always looking for new artists so if you think you've got what it takes to cut the mustard, upload some examples of your work on our Contact Us page (Choose Reason: Artist Inquiries). If we think your work is something that fits the GelaSkins vibe, we'll contact you and talk jive about the perks.

2. Do I retain the rights to my images if I submit them for your approval?

Yes you do. We do not assume any rights to your artwork during this process, nor will they be re-published with out your permission.

3. How are the artists compensated for their work?

All artists receive a quarterly commission of 10% for sales of GelaSkins bearing their artwork and 40% for the Giclee prints. I know - pretty good, right?

4. Do I need to submit high resolution images to be considered?

Nope. Low resolution images are just fine. Go here to upload. There's no limit to how many images you can send in so feel free to show us what you can do.

1. How do I get the Wallpapers on to my iPhone or iPod Touch?

If you're on your iPhone/Touch and want to be super cool and download some wallpapers on the go...



1. Navigate to http://iphone.gelaskins.com (note: there is no 'www.' in the address)



2. Follow the instructions on the page, and you're in wallpaper country



(note: You must be running at least firmware 2.0 for this method to work)



The wallpapers are also available for download from the artist pages.

2. My saved wallpapers look pixelated on my new iPod Touch! What's up with that?

The newest Touch firmware 2.1.1 has a bug that prevents it from properly saving images from the web. Hopefully Apple will fix it soon. In the meantime, download your favorite wallpapers from the Artists pages. You can then sync them to your Touch through iTunes as you would with other photos.



3. How do I get the Wallpapers on to my BlackBerry Pearl or Curve?

Download our pre-formatted wallpapers directly to your BlackBerry by following the directions below:



1. Navigate your BlackBerry browser to www.gelaskins.com/blackberry



2. Select your phone from the list that appears



3. Select your favorite wallpaper



4. Save the Wallpaper (select "Set as Home Screen Image")



And voila - you're rocking a new GelaSkins wallpaper!

4. How do I get the Wallpapers on to my PSP?

Instructions for Mac Users



1. Choose your favorite PSP wallpaper and select 'Download Wallpaper Set' to save it to your desktop or downloads folder.



2. Unzip the downloaded folder.



3. Ensure your PSP is properly connected to your Mac via USB and that the memory stick is inserted.



4. On your PSP, navigate to 'USB Connection' and hit 'X' to confirm.



5. You should see an icon on your desktop that resembles the PSP memory stick. Click on this icon.



6. Navigate to the folder called 'Pictures' and drag your downloaded GelaSkins wallpapers into this folder.



7. Press 'CIRCLE' (Back) on your PSP and then navigate to 'Photo/Memory Stick' and press 'X'.



8. Eject the PSP by dragging the memory stick icon to the trash-can.



9. Select your desired image and press 'X' again. This will show your desired image.



TIP: From this step you can press L or R triggers to cycle through all the great GelaSkins wallpapers on your memory stick.



10. Nudge the wallpaper around with the thumb-stick, holding 'SQUARE' allows you to zoom in and out with the thumb-stick.



11. Once you're happy with your decision, click 'TRIANGLE' and highlight the second icon from the top left, which will set the desired image as your background.





Instructions for PC Users



1. Choose your favorite PSP wallpaper and select 'Download Wallpaper Set' to save it to your desktop or downloads folder.



2. Unzip the downloaded folder.



3. Ensure your PSP is properly connected to your PC via USB and that the memory stick is inserted.



4. On your PSP, navigate to 'USB Connection' and hit 'X' to confirm.



5. On your PC, navigate to 'My Computer' and select your PSP (may be represented as a drive).

1. Can the skin be transparent?

Nope, sorry. The material we use is opaque as is the adhesive on the back of it.

2. Does the illuminated Apple logo shine through my GelaSkin when it's on my laptop?

Very slightly, but only when in a dark room, or if you're computing by candlelight.

3. Do your laptop skins have the Apple logo cutout?

No, sorry. Each work of art we place on a GelaSkin we feel should be presented in it's entirety.

4. Does the laptop skin cover the bottom of the laptop as well?

Nope, just the top. We wanted to make sure the heat dissipation and battery removal were uninhibited, so we decided to make just the top of your laptop sexier, and not the bottom.

5. Do your laptops skins also cover the inside?

Our laptop skins are designed to protect only the top of your laptop but we have had some customers that have creatively modified their own skins to fit the inside, so go nuts!

1. Do you offer skins for my device?

If you don't see your device listed in the "Shop By Device" pull down menu, check out the "Create Your Own" sections. We've got lots of templates for you to choose from over there and chances are, yours is in that list!

2. I love your giclée prints, but can I get a larger one?

No, sorry. We aim to keep our prints to around one square foot in area in order to keep the costs down. Offering high quality prints by all these incredible artists does unfortunately have some limitations.

3. Does your "Buy 3 skins, get one Free" program apply to your Giclée prints as well?

Sorry, it just applies to the skins

4. I live in Toronto and want to come pick them up from you. Can I do that?

No, sorry, our head office isn't outfitted as a retail location. However, we do have a kiosk at the Eaton Centre with lots of skins to choose from. Please drop in a visit them! Here's their contact info:
